Mason Brown, Pinky Weitzman, Jeremy Forbis, John Frazier
John Frazier is a member of Brooklyn junkyard-cabaret outfit, Not Waving But Drowning. He is a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist - playing guitar, trumpet, banjo and bass. The band's distinctively tight harmonies, unexpected instrumentation, and infectious enthusiasm can be heard on their two full length records "Any Old Iron" (2008) and "Processional" (2011). A mix of homespun Americana reels, shipwrecked shanties, smoke-filled bordello blues, and gleeful rock and roll, Not Waving But Drowning's music defies easy categorization and celebrates eccentric eclecticism.
...combines indie rockability with the eclectic sounds of folk music and catchy pop vocals.

At this hoedown Peter the Great would show you his baby skeletons in his cabinet of curiosities; you'd see less teeth, more fishnet, more velvet.
